There Is No Fate But What We Make

Fate is such a wonderful idea but there is fate and there is wish for fate. You may think something is fate but without putting in the work for it, it may just be a dream.

There's an old quote that I always love "Chance favors a prepared mind."

There were moments in my life that I thought there was a thing as fate but my mind wasn't prepared for it. Things may happen in life but unless you are ready for it, they will pass you by. Fate requires far more work than chance. Anyone can take a chance on anything and then it's just the luck of the draw.

Now things may happen in life that require more work than just a toss of the dice. When that comes knocking, put in the work, show the effort and embrace it as something you have always longed for. Without the work to let it bloom, it will shrivel and die just as fast as it appeared. If it is something you've always wanted, don't let it die and don't wait until it's dead to realize it.

Walk into every situation with a clear, open mind and a full heart. Let it be known and show it accordingly. Don't get caught up in the maze, do the work to push yourself to your true goal, your future. If I knew then what I know now, things may have blossomed into the most amazing flower there is. I was in no position to accept fate and knowing it was there and gone is one of the reasons I am making the changes in my life.

Don't drown your fate in the sea of the past, don't write it off as chance, and embrace it's beauty for what it truly is. Without the work, it won't even be chance, it'll be gone before you know it. Do everything you can to hang onto it because there is no fate but what we make for ourselves.
